I will try to keep this short. My mom was diagnosed with OCD.
I have many issues. Strong social anxiety never had relationship and feel negative a lot. I'm very scared that someone abused me and I've been getting intrusive thoughts that a family member did. I have reviewed my past upbringing in my head and tried to find anything out of place trying to find if i might have been an hid it from my mind. I've been going over my thoughts trying to find any signs of abuse. The intrusive thought I've had is having thoughts of this person doing sexual things to me and it's scary. |

Sounds like an OCD symptom, but I would talk to your doctor about it. You need a diagnosis from a psychiatrist. I hope you can get relief soon!

I have a similar issue with instructive incessant unpleasant thoughts. My doctor says it sound like the obsessive part of OCD but that I am not performing the rituals that is consistent with OCD. Whether it is or it is not, you should definitely discuss with a professional so you can learn how to deal with it.

yea like others have said sometimes OCD does come with having intrusive or delusional thoughts. I also checked out your profile it says you have Sexual Masochism & Sadism Disorder. here in my location when someone has these problems its part of it to have sexualized thoughts and worries that may or may not be true (in other words intrusive or delusional thoughts)
my suggestion is talk with your treatment providers, they can tell you whether you were sexually abused as a child or if these sexualized thoughts are part of your mental disorders. your treatment providers can also help you track down your childhood records documents... (school, mental and physical health and police reports and such that will contain information as to whether you were an abused child or not, sexual abuse isnt just about sex, other tell tale symptoms\problems would have been documented by your teachers, doctors, other family members and what have you) Im guessing since no one has told you that you were sexually abused as a child and your medical\mental health treatment providers havent addressed this when they obtained copies of your past medical and mental health records, you can probably rest easy that the odds of you being sexually abused is pretty slim, otherwise someone (family, doctors, teachers....) would have brought it up with you. its usually the first thing here in my location that gets addressed when someone gets diagnosed with a sexualized disorder. |

I think a lot of disorders can cause intrusive thoughts. Have you been formally dxd with OCD? If not you should probably see a dr.... you mentioned family / early childhood trauma possibly sexual. PTSD often causes intrusive thoughts. Also many ptsd symptoms can overlap ocd like symptoms and if resulting from early childhood traumas, from my personal history and many other sources, can result in the development of more than one sometimes many comorbid disorders...esp if the trauma was not addressed and treated early. Which sadly is far to often the case for many children.

I had intrusive thoughts, still have them sometimes but OCD wasn't the diagnosis. It was mixed anxiety-depression. Anyway, the therapy given to me is also used to treat OCD, so i think best thing to do would be to see a doctor.

I have the same symptoms, although there were some things in my life that could cause this, because my boundaries were often crossed in childhood, sometimes in a sexual way. Yet the thoughts don't always go around the "real" situations and they're causing me distress. As a child I remember finding this article about a therapeutist who made her client believe she was abused by her father, though she really wasn't. This also caused me some ocd thoughts about exactly same thing.
