My sister (11 months old) has been pinching herself a lot. Not to the point of making it red or hurting herself but pinches whenever she has a free hand. We ry to push her hand so that she doesn't pinch herself but she doesn't stop, she even pushes our hands. I have very little knowledge for OCD and it might have nothing to do with it, but I prefer to be wrong than to say I didn't try anything. If anybody knows what this is, if it can be stopped or she will grow out of it please do tell.

She's probably just experimenting. She is learning new things all the time and is probably just interested in how it feels. She will likely grow out of it soon enough. In the meantime, perhaps try some tactile play so she can start to experiment with how other things feel. Water play is a huge hit with kids, they love it and it is also really good for their development as well as being very calming. Sand play (mind she doesn't eat it though!), a touch book of different materials and textures, etc.

I made a 'book' of different textured fabric and that stopped my toddler from constantly pinching at a mole on her arm.
Thanks for this!
