Lately, my anxiety has gotten better, so it's hard to tell when a thought is obsessive/intrusive or if it's something that comes from me. Especially sexual thoughts.
I used to get freaked out by them all the time and get really anxious. Now I just kind of ignore them and they are not intense at all. They are still unwanted thoughts, though. Hm. It's so strange. I just recently went through a medication change, (from Latuda to Abilify) so that may explain my changes in obsessive thoughts and anxiety level. Anyone else experience this? When my anxiety was high it was easy to say "this is an obsessive thought." Now it's not as clear, if that makes any sense. Can anyone relate? Do you ever get obsessive thoughts without the accompanying anxiety?

I find my anxiety is a little less when my OCD is acting up because the OCD is providing some kind of "relief", as annoying as it is. Med change could certainly effect it.

If nothing else has changed, I'd vote it's probably the medication helping to make your anxiety levels lower.
