Are you seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist? Those would be the first steps for getting good help. My OCD has been bad lately, too, so my psychiatrist put me back on an SSRI (Lexapro). So far, I'm doing a lot better. Worries/anxiety is not 100% gone, but MUCH better than it was.
I hope you will seek help and get what you need. ((HUGS)) Is there any other way I can help? I would also recommend not to do your compulsions, whatever they are. Following through with compulsions makes the obsessing worse. Get plenty of sleep, avoid alcohol, get plenty of exercise, try yoga or meditation. I also take the supplement NAC: 3,000 mg a day. My psychiatrist recommended it. Overall, I obsess less when I take it, so now I take it daily. Here's the brand that I've noticed works best:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GFJJZ6...3314&sr=1&th=1

I would emphasize to them that you are obsessing and having compulsions and also tell them how often they occur. If they don't take you seriously, seek a second opinion. ❤️

I have talked with several pdocs about my ocd tendencies and they kind of ignore what I say. I suspect that they don't really know how to successfully treat ocd. Just a guess.

I'm so sorry, Flutterby11. I think it's a very positive thing for you to be opening up here on PC about the problem you're having.

I am just scared it is going back the way it used to be where it was 20 hours a day on compulsions and that was exhausting I am already so tired I just want to give up.

Chanting is a sure help to check the stream of thoughts. I have tried myself. It channelizes the mind effectively.

Since your pdoc prescribes your meds, I believe you should emphasize strongly your concern about OCD to him/her, and hopefully your pdoc will listen and act accordingly.

I know it's hard, but it's not impossible: Tell your pdoc how you feel...that you feel your concerns about OCD are being dismissed. It's very important that you have honesty with your pdoc.
