For the past 6 months, I have been struggling with hair pulling, I googled it and I pretty much have trichotillomania. I have a big bald spot on my head but it's in a place that is easily covered by my other hair. I want to tell them so I can get help but I'm too afraid of their reaction if I have to show them my hair loss to show them I need help. How do I tell them about this??

Hello Bookworm: I'm sorry you are having such difficulty.
![]() https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC75...wYHGQlc4w3-GGw But also if you go to that video on YouTube you can look down the right-hand side of the screen & see thumbnails for other videos on the subject. Another possible way of approaching this might be, if you are in school, perhaps there is a school counselor you could see. And perhaps that individual could help you to figure out the best way to approach your parents. Under any circumstances, I send hugs your way with the hope that you will be able to find the strength to open up to your parents with regard to your struggle. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
