I know this for a fact: there's no amount of ritual that is going to make me feel better. There's nothing I can do at this moment. I know from experience that this will pass, and the only thing I can truly do right now is be patient, and immerse myself in the fear. Desensitize myself to it. Because the habits and rituals are only going to insure this happens more frequently in the future.
