I probably have mild OCD. I have General and social anxiety. I have obsessions about taking showers and my hygiene in general. I also do this weird thing of eating certain parts of my food first. When I eat soup, I eat/drink the broth first then I eat the carrots, then I eat the chicken and then the noodles. With my salad I eat the lettuce first, then the tomatos, then the chicken and then the mozzarella. I just have this idea of "saving the best for last."
I've also been wearing the same rubber bracelet non stop for at least 2 years, but probably more like 3-5 years. I have not taken it off in two years. I'm worried if I take it off, something bad will happen. It's a superstition. I can not mentally take it off, even though I'd love to. It's a LiveSTRONG and Lance Armstrong got convicted of using steroids. I do not want to support that. Does anyone else eat their food in a particular way or wear something because of superstition? |

I eat my food one section at a time and they can never mix.
I have a thing where I have to wear something on both wrists. A watch and a bracelet, watch and Fitbit, whatever. I can't have a bare wrist I can't stand it. I also wear this crystal necklace constantly but that's more a psychosis 'protect me from demons and the secret government' thing than an OCD thing. But I believe something bad will happen if I don't wear it. |

When I have soup, I drink the broth first. I leave the meat and veggies for last. There is nothing wrong with this habit. It has nothing to do with my OCD. It is our food, we choose how we want to eat it.
