Hi, so my friend agreed to let me move in with her as the stress from home is becomingwith anyone but family who knows of my ocd (though no one actually got me any help) well i worry that living with my friend will add on ti my stress. Already I've been washing more and more and have been peeling at my skin to where theres marks/bleeding.
At this point i need some advice on what to do as to not alarm my friend and not stress myself so much Thanks those that read this ![]() |

I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time.
![]() Here's a link to an article, from PC's archives, that discusses grounding techniques for the holidays. Of course we're not in what is typically considered the "holiday period" now. But I think the suggestions offered are relevant any time of year. So, hopefully something in the article can be of benefit: Grounding Techniques for Holiday Gatherings Best wishes... ![]()

I don't know if this works or not but I have read it somewhere I don't remember.
When you feel like washing your hands take a break. Like tell yourself I will wash my hands after 30 seconds. or else engage yourself like I will do this thing after that I will wash my hands. You can try this technique and let us know if this works. |
