My husband is one of 5 kids, all who have OCD/OCPD tendencies. My husband's brother is treated medically for it, and now my husband is as well.
I am at my wits end in dealing with his OCPD behavior. It takes form in trying to control our house and everything in it....erratic behavior...immature sexual behavior...and more. I, on the other hand, have my own OCD type issues that I deal with. Mostly post-traumatic stress related. His are more external in nature, whereas mine are very well hidden. I am hoping to be able to learn a lot from this group and can't wait to get to know all of you... |

I don't know if I am much help. I have OCD and it overwhelms me and my family. Does your husband take medication and has he admitted to having it? It took me years to admit that I had it, while driving everybody else crazy.

It took having a T tell him that he has OCD before he actually really accepted it. And yes, he just started taking meds for it about 5 months ago. Unfortunately, though, I notice no difference - maybe even worse behavior - since starting the meds.
