I've been super excited recently because I had a compulsion (well, I have quite a few) that have really been interfering with my life recently and I'm really happy to say I've actually broken it. I still feel the need to go back to it, but I've stood my ground and just... Stopped. I still feel immense anxiety and like bad things are going to happen because I did but I'm trying to remind myself that it'll be okay. I was okay before I started doing it, so I'll be okay now that I've stopped. I just had to share!

I've been working on breaking my need to obsess and ruminate over things - and I'm a whole lot happier for it. Suddenly I now see more positive and I think I'm a nicer person to be around as a result.

What was the answer? A really good therapist. Intensive Cognative Behaviour Therapy (CBT), practicing Mindfullness, and a small dose of Citalopram. Perhaps even the Aromatherapy helped. So too perhaps the therapy lamp.
