I never really had a mom. I have a deep grief monster that hurts so bad when i see adult moms and daughters that i cant breathe. The 3 kids i am raising my 2 neices i adopted and have raised and adopted since they were 5 months and 2 now 10 and 13 and my nephew i have had for almost a year from a different sister they are at ther bmoms house. My uncle sent me a card saying even though i am not the real mom i should celebrate 2. I have failed to plan with my t's for today and after going to church and seeing all the moms the pain got to big. I have self destructive thoughts.

I agree with Bebop, you are indeed a Mom. I'm surprised you're not automatically afforded this designation within your family and others.

I'm sorry you feel so low. I can't say I blame you. Maybe there are some things you and T can work on for next year. I can relate somewhat to your grief because my only child is deceased. People who know about her find it too awkward to say anything, so it's just one of those really seriously quiet days. Grief and dark thoughts grapple for my attention.

What you do day in and day out, regarding the care and rearing of your children, far more qualifies you as their Mother than any other person! I admire you for it and admittedly, I envy you too.

None of that takes your pain away and I get that. I hope hearing my perspective and circumstance can help you and your thoughts. I'm glad you spoke up for you. Plus, you enabled me to speak up for me, too - not one of my strong suits!!!

Peace, to you Mom.

Hi....

I'm sorry this day has it's difficulties for you, but I have to agree with the others...

YOU ARE SO THE REAL MOM!!!!

It's good that you are able to allow your kids to share this day with their biological Mothers, but give yourself the credit you deserve. Anyone can give birth....not everyone can be a good parent.

So...I say to you, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! You've definitely earned it!!

Take care!!
