My mom uses a walker, and has been putting tennis balls on the bottom of it to stop it from scuffing her floors, but she seems to go through them quite often, so I was wondering if anyone knows anything else that might work? She lives in housing for the elderly, so she's worried they might say something if she gets it too scuffed up. She has a lady who comes in and cleans, but she said the scuffing is difficult to clean up. Thanks!

I have wheels on mine in the front. also you might go to the supply store where they sell them. they have little felt type pads I think to put on the bottoms

have you thought about using kong balls instead? You can get them at the pet store. might be a little extra work to make it work though being they're pretty solid

Thanks for the replies. My mom's does have wheels on one side, but it's the other that doesn't. I don't know if the store she got it from would have those things...I'll have to tell her to call them. Not sure about the Kong balls...I'll ask my boyfriend, since he put the tennis balls on for her last time; she can't do it herself.

Medical supply stores carry rubber bottoms to put on them in many colors. the black ones tend to leave skid marks with my mother but the tan and brown ones are duable enough not to lead skid marks. They are more expensive in a medical suppy shop than they are in the grocery store and pharmacys but are well worth it.

These are online stores but have printed catalogs

Full of Life > > > www.fulloflife.com

Gold Violin > > > www.goldviolin.com

You might find something in these catalogs that would work.
