... when it's Saturday night and you're home...
... when every Saturday night you stay home, watching cartoons or horror movies... ... when everybody else went out and is having fun... ... when you're 20 and you never went out on a Saturday night...

I stay home every night. Okay, maybe 1 night every month I'm out doing something. It doesn't bother me. True I'm a hermit and live with a hermit, but we're in our own little worlds most of the time.
I'm sorry you're feeling lonely. ![]() Now I've got that Cat Stevens song in my head. Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody... I'm just saying the internet is a nice way to stay safe and communicate with other people. It's a modern phenomenon that many people don't know their neighbors or anyone in their town due to commuting and not leaving their house much otherwise. You're not alone in your loneliness if that doesn't sound too dumb. ![]()

If it makes you feel any better I'm 2 years younger then you and I can count the times I've left the house by myself (aside from the minute or two to take out the trash) for the past two months on one hand. (and my T is probably going to be mad at me because he told me to outside every day by myself for at least 5 min as homework

I think it's okay. There were lots of times I chose to stay home on weekends when other people were going out drinking and partying. I used that time to connect to myself and care for myself. It's hard when you think about what you're missing out on. I get that. But maybe you can try and see what you've gained from being alone, kinda like I did?

Oh Freak, you are right it is sad not to go out on a Saturday night. Every Saturday night is the same lonelyness for you isn't it. Being a frog of little brain you forget after awhile how many times you were alone on a saturday night.
I'm sad for you. Not because you haven't been out on a Saturday night but because you want to go out but haven't been invited. ![]() You friends here at PC will sit with you on any saturday night while you are waiting so you don't have to dream about what you think you missed. We are here for you. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks everyone. No words in any of the 5 languages I speak fluently can express how grateful I am to each and every one of you. So I'm just gonna say: thank you, you're all very special

I'm sorry you're feeling sad about it. I make it a choice to stay home on Saturday nights, and if I want to go out, I go: all by myself! Learning to be happy being alone, and still doing things is important for your mental health. I wish you well on your path.

(((Freak)))...I had a friend who was tired of not having any dates. She did what I thought was the wierdest thing ever at the time...she joined like every club she could think of:
Reader's Theater Bowling Team Community Choir Mime Club Book Club Nutrition Group Church Young Singles Ballroom dance team NASCAR racing club Fantasy Football League Scrapbooking Society Knitter's Corner Trekkies Club She was determined to no longer be lonely. She went crazy going to all these groups for about 3 months. Then some turned out to be more interesting to her than others and had more available singles and better friends (more in common with her). She dropped the bad groups and continuing going to the one's that she enjoyed. She was not a stunning, hot babe but wanted to get a date. She wasn't a social butterfly but wanted more friends. She ended up marrying someone from Reader's Theater. They have been married for 10 years and have 2 kids. I was really impressed by the way she went about this. By the way, a lot of the groups were free to join because she did not have a lot of money to put out and she lived on a bus route or rode her bike to the places (we live near a major college town). Anyway, just some thoughts. |

I appreciate how you can put it into words... (ALso, is it just me or were we happy a decade and so ago...) I am also -a thinker - maybe Baby Boom... were pretty much more in key and intell.???? It must be good to have the right answers! Really.. not to drag anyone downside.(At least me.) was brought in a world with :bip and Bop&: how are we to have REAL solutions. It may be a (near) depression. but can we jet by this ooze of "needed" technologies... maybe we're not seeing both sides of the coin? |
