I LOVE these threads. It helps me get to know you guys, me dear friends, better. Mine are music (both playing and listening to), watching sports, karate (I miss that one and I wanna get back into it), cooking (mamma taught me that one), movies, and many more. What are yours?

scrapbooking is my #1 favorite. But I also like playing canasta and spades, making floral arrangements, reading and I am a singer. I run with the local volunteer rescue squad 2 days a month as an EMT and enjoy that too. I used to run more days, but with 3 grandkids to spoil and another due in 2 months, I had to cut back on something !

Neat thread - I love knowing more about the folks I am "getting to know" on this site !

I love singing (gershwin, jazz, show tunes), cooking (mainly italian), reading (those nasty forensic mysteries like Patricia Cornwell writes) and gardening. Nothing is better than veggies you grow yourself and no flowers are lovelier....I also like to be in local little theatre productions........

working with wood all kinds of wood- native or imported and soft or hard. I like to burn with woodburning tool and paint on wood and to carve and whittle. I like to use the band saw and scroll saw and all sizes of rasps . Mostly to produce small items and objects for gifts and to decorate my house. Great subject to bring up!

I love playing pool. I think everyone knows that about me. =) I also love just sitting and singing. At the moment I'm learning 3 new songs for the Tucson Girls Chorus Alumni. We're singing at the concert on May 7th. It'll be the director's last concert after 20 years! I also love karaoke. =)

Thanks Ryan for this thread, need to practice expressing myself more so here goes...

I like listening to music... just about any kind, I have favorite songs in all catagories. I like to bake just don't have anyone besides myself that likes to eat cake, pies and cookies- so I don't bake as much as I would like to.
Flower gardening, swimming, volunteer once a week at a homeless shelter, reading-- I usually read 2 or 3 books at the same time-- I find it more interesting and challenging!
And one more-- hanging out with my two teenage sons-- they are a lot of fun!

I love planting flowers and veggie gardens. Nothing tastes better than tomatos and cucumbers right out of the garden. And flowers are soooooo pretty. I think I might just love digging in the dirt, lol........I also enjoy painting t-shirts, sweat shirts and making holiday wreaths. I used to sell them, many moons ago. ..I was into ceramics a lot. I think I liked pouring the molds and firing a lil more than painting them. Painting seemed to take a lil more concentration. lol...I also had some molds to make porcelian dolls, but I only dabbled in tha. Maybe someday I will make a complete porcelian doll. ...... I want to learn next, how to make scented candles.......... Oh, I also took a few classes in pottery making. That was a blast.. lol Lots of fun, but nothing I made looked like much of anyting. I couldn't even spin a bowl without it collapsing.. Maybe someday I will take more classes.......Oh, I love all kinds of music too.......I have no talent in singing or playing an instrument, but I sure love listening to music.

I love to cook and bake. Had the kids and grandkids over for spareribs, cheese taters, big garden salad, corn and strawberry shortcake last night. Family is first, and spending time with hubby, playing with the horses, taking care of our 17 acres. I love gardening and can and freeze a lot of our food, flower gardening also, reading, scrapbooking when I can squeeze it in, and spending time with my best friends. Right now, I am busy getting information to breed our Friesian mares , and looking forward to baby horses in the pasture next summer if all goes right. Carol
