You may or may not know that the Bureau of Land Management sold wild horses to a man from Oklahoma, week before last. He bought them on Friday, representing himself as a minister
 who was going to use the horses in a christian camp, and he sold them to a Belgian slaughterhouse on Monday and the horses were slaughtered for European dinner tables. I am giving you the phone number of Gale Norton, the Secretary of the Interior....a bill has been introduced that will prevent the above, but we have to keep pressure on the system so they won't think they can slip their madness into another bill..without our knowing it. 202-208-7351 You will get an answering machine. Leave a message and stress that it is for Gale Norton. Express your outrage at this barbaric practice...the next step will be to look up your representatives in Washington and call them. Urge them to co-sponsor the bill that has been introduced. The color photo in my gallery is of two wild horses that were best friends..they live on a refuge here in Oklahoma.....Thanks, guys!

God bless america...
 I'm so glad I don't eat horsemeat... I can't believe someone would do that. I thought the wild horses there were protected someways..

the wild horses used to be protected. but our politicians slipped a rider onto an amendment, and it went unnoticed, and they all signed off on it and it became legal to buy and sell them to slaughter. it's sickening...it is the ranching and oil industry that want the horses gone. and by the way, the ranchers pay US $1.43 an acre to lease OUR lands for THEIR big ranches........
