Oh sweet sleep, how I miss you so! Haha, I haven't slept much the last two nights, so I wanted to give sleep an ode so maybe it would find me again. LOL!

Ray,

I know that not getting some solid sleep is awful. I gave some advice to someone recently about things that help me relax so I am able to get some solid rest. A nice warm bath. Right before bed. It relaxes your whole body and puts you and your muscles in a relax mode. I hope your able to get some solid sleep soon.

UGH!!! Another night of barely any sleep. Less than 2 hours. So much anxiety, won't let me sleep. I HATE this. I'm not used to having sleep problems anymore. Damn anxiety, leave me alone!!! Sleep!!!

Back to Ray and her sleep... I read in your other post that you had quit drinking. If so, that could have a HUGE effect on your sleep. As said by others, warm baths, warm milk, and when it gets bad for me I like to take Benedryl. That ALWAYS works for me.

Until I get through my PTSD I think I'm going to be hopeless for getting sleep without medication, but my husband has something that works for him. He's also tried it with our kids when they can't sleep and it's been successful for them as well. Try this:

Close your eyes and relax and try to clear you mind. Then, count backwards from 100 down to 0. My husband swears he's never gotten below 70s.

It's simply and easy to try and I hope it helps, Missi

Sleep!!! Sleep!!!
