Red&Blue....
I'm sorry to hear that you are going through so many difficult things right now. Being bullied at school is no laughing matter. Have you contacted your school administrators and asked for their help? Have your parents stepped in? I know some kids who have been bullied so bad that their parents had them change schools. If it's really bad, have you considered this? What grade are you in sweety? Junior High, High School? This must be really difficult for you. And Brain Cancer!! Another non-laughing matter. I'm so sorry!! What kind of treatment are you getting? What have your specialists said about this? Is radiation or surgery an option? What chemo are you on? ![]() You can share with us here. We want to support you through your difficult times. Please take care and keep us posted. ![]()

I have trouble sleeping when I am stressed/scared about something. I find listening to music helps me because it gives me something to focus on, then eventually I'd fall asleep.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear that you might be sick on top of all the other stuff. I realize the steps it takes to go thru a cancer diagnosis... so don't worry yet, as they will need to see more than a tumor behind the eye to diagnose cancer ~ it could be other things, and also, it might be easy to remove and recover from... Let's hope so, okay. Meanwhile, if you do need cancer information, there are some threads here... and a social forum that has alot of cancer information... and may I suggest for you at this stage in the game, not knowing all that much, that you contact the Lance Armstrong Foundation... as they have the best support for teens I have ever seen, as well as resources, etc. The added plus is that you can learn more about head, neck and facial cancers and the progress they have made today... or just go into the forums there where others, like you, are waiting for an accurate diagnosis ... there are many friends to make in that arena. There are support groups too, so ck with the American Cancer Society in your community, and get a list of things for those your age in your area! I would want to be in touch with my guidance counsellor in school about the bullying, and anyone else you can go to. Also, if you don't tell your parents and school, how can they help you? Like, even feeling lonely is an issue for adolescents, yet they dob't know it's so important to find someone to discuss their feeling with... because it matters how you feel about yourself and other people. Don't forget that you matter on this planet, and to your family, and to friends you haven't even met yet! Someday, these days will be behind you ~ so don't give up on yourself and making things better ~ you will be glad down the road! We all care about each other here, whether someone is blue and can't pick themselves up at this time, or whether they are going thru a divorce, or returning from war... everyone is important! I hope you reach out more here, and learn to do this in real life also. Support is available, no matter what the financial situation is. There is free therapy... here and everywhere. Keep talking. We are listening (even if we don't post for some reason or other, or we have to be away for a time, we are listening, somewhere, at sometime... yet you have the power to make the world you live in a little better also... by listening to yourself and sharing your concerns with people who can help you ion real life also)! Peace & support, Nightbird (safe hugs)

Hi RedBlue...
I'm glad your appointment went well. So it's a low grade benign tumor? This is actually good news. First, it's benign and second it's a low grade. ![]() What kind of tissue is it? What is the tissue's name? Is it a menengioma, schwannoma, adenoma, a hemangioblastoma, a cranial pharyngioma, or a choriod plexus papilloma? I'm surprised to hear that the doc suggested chemo for a benign, low grade tumor as this is seldom done for these types of tumors. The typical treatment for benign, low grade tumors is surgical resection and/or radiation. Did your Doc mention why he thinks the chemo would be the best route? I hope you find out. I'd hate to think that your Doc would put you through something like chemo when it wasn't really necessary. Keep us posted. ![]()
