I hear ya, sister.

Tips:
- don't deprive yourself if you need a treat
- let go of guilt; treat yourself kindly, even if you slip
- reward yourself with non-food items (clothes, for example)
- don't weigh yourself every day

Sending you good luck!

I might consider upping the calorie intake. At 2000 it might take a little longer to lose weight but it's good to eat at a normal, consistent level. 1000 calories isn't enough.

My dietician told me last week that NO woman - any height- should go on a diet of less than 1200, as that is what the body needs to function. Hopefully, your doctor is doing this with you and there is an urgent reason and short duration.

Yea, sky is right. Under 1200 isn't good for you, and 1200 isn't good either. opt for a lifestyle change. Overnight things won't work, and starvation diets aren't the solution.

A few friends and my parents went on weight watchers, I think it's a good thing to look into. Support groups really help. Please do it healthy. Are you losing weight to be healthy, then do it right so it lasts too...

lifestyle change is where it's at. morti is correct. i don't eat after a certain time in the evening. i take my lunch to work, so i have healthy food and snacks throughout the day. i walk four miles a day. if i don't get to walk, i don't complain to myself. i just say that i'll do it the next day.......it's about being good to oneself, limiting sugar and fat and staying away from high caloric junk.......i wish you a ton of luck. do come over to our support group. it is working for me and others.......oxxo pat

yah, there's healthy food that's good! and you don't have to feel as guilty. ^_^ you don't have to hate food, trust me it doesn't do anything, find a balance. :3

Yes, I agree, do not deprive yourself...please be safe, and of course, it is always safer to seek the advice of a doctor before starting anything like this...

I DO weigh myself every day, but it is not a weight issue, it is more that I just like keeping track of it. I myself lost 30 lbs when I first got my one job, then gained some of it back as muscle mass after I had been there a while, and had to do a lot of heavy lifting I'm sick of being fat...
