<font color="red"> ......I opened up my wrist.

When I look at the scars, I can't really relate to the person who did that.

I certainly don't have inside me what it takes to commit such an action now.

But I know that we can all be driven by our own demons, and what seems like a bad movie can actually be your life!

But one year later......I am in a better place. My problems haven't been solved, my chemicals are still not balanced (lol), and my future is still not clear. BUT.....

I am alive, I am thriving, and I have found my anchor in my children. They help me to look forward, even on the bad days when I feel like looking back.

God bless!

Sandy

<font color="purple"> Thanks, guys! You're all so nice!

And I think we ALL have within ourselves the ability to survive......

We just have to find it in time, right?

I hope you all are having a wonderful evening.

Your post is a reminder of how far one can come in a year. You sound so different now than that very dark place you were in last year.

You've been working diligently at this Sandy. Please drop by here anytime to be reminded that you're worth the effort to not only stay alive but thrive!

It made me uncomfortable at first reading this as it was a painful time for many ppl back then a year ago. However your words tonight have shown how hard you've worked over this past year and that change is possible.

I am glad you are alive. I'm glad you are able to look forward on bad days instead of looking back.

((SandyWeb)) keep up the hard work and know that ppl see your progress. Very proud you've stuck around.

On June 2 of last year, I opened my own left wrist. Coming round to the "anniversary" of surviving caused me intense anxiety -- so much so that I took the day off from work, fearful I'd fall apart. In the end, it passed uneventfully. I'm not doing quite as well as you seem to be, but am doing better than last year. I'm glad you survived to write a post I can relate to so closely. Ta. it's wonderful to hear that you're thriving Sandy. I'm sure it took some very hard work and big steps to get where you are and you should be very proud of your strength and perseverance. All the best to come.
