I'm frustrated right now. It's been a long day and I'm feeling tired and bored. When I get in this mode I start feeling bad about myself. All I do is surf the web. I don't have energy to do much else. I did a hard workout today - maybe I'm tired from that. When I'm tired, my mind doesn't work as well and then I start thinking that I'm not intelligent or that everybody else is smarter than me and that I'll never be able to stop being unemployed. I'm going to try to do some breathing exercises and positive affirmations to try to get into a better frame of mind.

I'm grateful I have a place to vent without being judged.

I hope you got some rest, everyone needs to sleep ya know!

You seem very intelligent to me, articulate and have a certain fire that keeps you going.

Maybe when you are on the internet you can look into doing some research on job hunting, look into starting up again or think about doing a CV. But don't forget to have breaks also, self-care is important, reward yourself when you do something worthwhile.

I look forward to hearing from you again.

I am planning on re-starting my business but since I am not a software developer, it requires the help of others to be able to do this. I have identified these folks who are willing to work on the project on a part-time basis but there is some complexity around how I structure the company. I am also not in a financial position to where I can pay them, so the deal we will strike is that they will get a % of the company or revenue/profit. While we have been discussing the project, we have not yet started. I am nervous about whether or not I will be able to get this off the ground but I am a fighter at heart. I am taking it one day at a time and try to do a little bit each day to move the project forward.

Being unemployed I sometimes feel guilty and anxious if I spend "too much" time taking care of myself or doing something that is not "work" related but I do understand that it is important that I do take care of myself, have balance and try to maintain an optimistic attitude in the face of adversity.

Thank you for the encouragement and sound advice. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for this!
