I'm going to be more focused today. I am going to write out a to do list and work toward accomplishing it. I am also going to reach out and make a couple of phone calls. Sometimes this is hard for me because I think I'm not going to sound smart or I'm afraid I'm going to get rejected/ignored. People who were "friends" when I had my business are no where to be found. Some don't return my emails. Some don't call to check in even though they know I am in a difficult situation.
It is easy for me to get angry at these people and then get scared that I'm never going to be able to make an income again because no one will be interested in me. I keep comparing myself to all these people who have degrees from Ivy League schools and have worked at prestigious companies and thinking that I'm inferior and no where near as smart as them so that they will look down at me or dismiss me as being unimportant. I am going through a process of trying to understand and accept my unique gifts and focus less on myself and more on caring about others. I have been "working" from home since I closed down my business and before I found PC I would go nuts being home alone. Now I actually don't mind it. Thanks for keeping me company! |

Break things down into manageable increments and reward yourself for your successes. You have been able to complete well in the past, and there is no reason to think you cannot now. Focus on what you can do and banish the negative chatter to the recycle bin for deletion.
Good luck. |

You sound like a smart person who knows how to get things done. I hope the "to do" list worked out for you - I'm a big believer in (and lover of) lists!

I have found comparing myself to others to be a dead end road..
After all YOU are not them...you are YOU, a unique and special person....everyone is unique in their own way, some more unique than others.. In my book, uniqueness = beauty of the human spirit Ivy league is simply where they got their education...it doesnt cancel out their uniqueness- or their struggles- my family is wealthy and they are very unhappy people, who have excluded their only daughter (me..) Everyone's struggle is different, every path we are each on is different.. The trick is to try to cross paths with people we can learn & grow with.. Like here at PC!! I am soooo glad you are a part of PC, Renovation..I care about you ![]() Pm me anytime!
