But isnt this( praying) religious? Just asking? I thought that was a no no .. against the community rules and guidelines?? Unfair to others? I know , tell me to shut up. Sorry.

Oh Emmy.............
 I really wanted to cheer you good for that re-vised edition to the "Serenity Prayer" & still applaude you. After spending over half of life in A.A., NA, EA, OA.......I can appreciate the nice twist! Loved it!  BUT, that's where the ball stops against the acceptability of your comment that "Doc John being your Higher Power"???? TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE!!!!!!I find no humor in the sickness of that statement. Granted, I have a pretty "sick" sense of humor, too........but you HAVE to draw the line somewhere!! AND it stops HERE & NOW! As a lifetime AAer, you just don't realize how morally "bent" that is....sorry Emmy........Yea! on number#! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO on #2! For the right's of the emotional psyche', I'm going to pretend I never read it.....maybe you just have to be an old AA hag like me to see the sickness of that statement?    DAYZEE

Although it is a cute little switch up..
And I know I have some backpeddling to do over my inappropriate posting about DocJohn... Let's not forget...the posters are here because they have issues. They do not deal with life on a level that a forum site for current events, let's say, would have posters deal. So, although I started some things I wish I didn't...let us please not forget we, the posters, are here battling many mental issues. Thanks. Susan |

Dayzee, i've known Ems for a long time and i am certain that she meant no disrespect. she was trying to break up all the fighting and negative things that were going on and she was using her brand of humor. i suggest that you use the PM system for posts like the above. thank you, pat
