my son's doctor appt is at 9:30 this morning. it takes about 20 minutes to drive there.

my BF has to take OUR car to work @ 9:00am (I WOULD DRIVE HIM AND THEN TAKE IT BUT I CAN'T DRIVE A STICK SHIFT!!! (oops, caps)) our car is in the shop.

my dad luckily is here to help, unfortunately due to furlough friday.... so everything was going to work out, we would JUST make it if my dad dropped my BF off, then took me and dropped me and my son off at the doctor's... then rush back so that my BF could take the store's deposit BEFORE they open. Not doing so could get you fired!!.... but luckily my dad was here to help!

......then i realized my son's carseat was still in my mom's car from last night.

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

myson hasn't had a Fing doctor appt since his 6month because dumb ******** like this happened at his 9 month and when i rescheduled they couldnt fit me in until the end of Jan! (today) so if i miss the appt today who KNOWS when they can see him again!

i am SO STRESSED OUT. my dad is going to get the carseat and im going to be like an hour late.

GREAT F-ING DAY

im freaking the F out im so irritated and stressed and angry and so overwhelmed!!!!

Hang in ther aimeesh. Breath and take it slow. Did you call to let them know you would be late? I assume you did. The rest is out of your hands. Everything will go as it will go whether you stress or not so do all you can to slow it down. Make it easier on yourself, your baby and your day. Go with the flow. Make that your montra. Just keep telling yourself to go with the flow.

Stress is a bugger! No question about it. Don't let it own you. Whether you stress or not time keeps ticking. Try your very best to accept what is and go with the flow. Breath. Singing sometimes helps me settle stress. Just humming a happy tone and cut into the strain.

wishing you well as you get though all this today. Awesome you can rely on your dad. Stop freaking. It will be okay.

we made it on time! (MIRACLE) and my poor little guy had to get 5 shots AND get his blood drawn, he was screaming so much and crying, i hate seeing my son cry tears but he was okay once he was back in mommy's arms <3

The doc said he's advanced! that his level of awareness is higher than most, he knows how to read a book already (right to left, top to bottom) and his walking skills are higher than others, so that was cool to know my son is advanced! either that or he tells every parent their child is advanced. lol

Awesome!! On time and good news about your son's development. I don't think the doc says that to every parent. There are clear indicators so he can't make them up. Celebrate. That is an awesome reflection of quality parenting. It is not just your son's acheivement but the family's achievement. Way to go mom.

Glad you got to have good news after all, but it's not fun seeing your child get shots. My 3 year old son had to have his flu shot today, poor thing, his arms are so skinny and the needle looked so big. Hopefully, you'll have a calmer less stressed Saturday.

I am so happy for You!!

I especially liked sanityseekers (#2 above) ideas for you

Stress *will* happen again (most likely),
but how we respond to it will make all the difference!!

So Many things are out of our control.
