Hi, My name is Chance, i am from the Southwest UK and originally came here to post one thread as i was worried.

After a bit of feedback i have realized there is nothing wrong with me. To the point, i basically started this thread because i want to know if i am still welcome to post here?

I recently started learning Psychology and i find this forum very interesting. I am trying to focus mainly on emotions Fear being the main one.

Regards,
Chance.

Well, i thought i did have something wrong, but i was mistaken, it probably isnt anything.

Any info would be for my personal education. Basically just browsing through topics and seeing how different people react to different things etc...

Regards,
Chance

Chance,

Any opportunity to gain more knowledge about any subject is one worth taking. I personally don't have a problem with you visiting the site so that you may gain some insight on some of the topics that may arise in your studies, as it may give you a better understanding of some of those topics.

You will come to find we are a pretty open group, but many of us expose things here we could never do IRL, so please keep that in mind during your research. All many of us would ask for (and my apologies in advance to anyone this may offend) is respect our feelings/emotions and take them at face value and try not to read more into what's being said.

Welcome to the forums, and I hope it helps in your studies.

Dolfin

You stated,"Well, I thought I did have something wrong, but I was mistaken, it probably isnt anything."
What is or was it that you thought you had wrong with you, can you elaborate on this?
Did a pdoc rule out any possible DX? Have you seen any mental health professionals, in regards to what you thought was wrong with you?
Almost the whole entire population on this planet has something wrong, some mildly and some more severe, there is no such thing as "normal", which you probably have read in Psyc.books, and just being out in the world.
This is a support website, people share info., their problems and advice that attempts to offer support.
Sort of like a "give and take" situation. The members here are NOT "lab animals" for researchers to observe, draw conclusions, while not offering any support.
Sure you are welcome here, but this site is for people to help one another.
If you are a student or a professional looking for info. rather than support, there is another Grohol site called:
Behavior Online, which may be of help to you.
This site mentioned is for professionals and students involved in behavioral sciences.
I hope this info was of help to you, and I hope there was no offense taken. Welcome?

Thanks,
DE

Ok, i can see i have offended people. I appologise and will as of now refrain from using this forum.

Sorry for any upset i have caused and best wishes to you all.

Regards,
Chance

**Edit: I am not sure what i thought was wrong with me. I posted down in the Health Support forum under topic "Feedback Please?" and stated that i suffer from bad short term memory, Mood Swings and inability to concentrate. I asked if anyone had these symptoms as i was too embarrased to see the Doc. I was pointed in the direction of depression and i do not suffer depression so i concluded i have nothing wrong with me.

Regards again,
Chance

No, you have not offended anyone, that is your own reaction to the replies here. The replies were not to convey any negative responses, just fact, and it was not directed you personally.
We often get people that happened to find this site and it wasn't what they were looking for, such as students in need of info for their research papers, etc.
While info comes free, it is always nice that people do not stray from the whole purpose of "support sites", thats all we are saying.
I hope I made my reply more clear, easier to understand, and wish you wouldn't feel you offended anyone or feel defensive at the same time.
Take care now,
DE

Hi there,
Believe it or not those are also symptoms of depression, I know I myself find it hard to make that connection when I am told that are some symptoms of depression.
I myself being peri-menopause have also been told that are some of the symptoms.
Some forms of depression are not always the typical obvious ones we see listed in magazines, etc. some forms can be subtle or not related to feeling depressed.
I always feel when in question about our health, rather it be physical or mental health it is best to take it up with a doctor, may help to get to the point of an answer instead of creating more inner anxiety by wondering what is wrong.
Please do not be afraid to see a doc. there is no shame.
Take care now,
DE

Chance, I said that I have those symptoms as a result of my depression. You asked, I answered. I suggested you post in the Depression or ADD forums and you might get more feedback. I wasn't saying you did or didn't have ADD or depression.
