Hey. i was listening to this song tonight, as i was feeling a bit down after a long emotionally draining day. (Isnt it wierd how we seem to listen to depressing music while down).

Anyways, i don't know if anyone has heard it before its called How do you get that lonely by Blaine Larsen. afer listening to it on repet for about 10 times i couldn't get it off my head. Some of the things he sang were amazing and so true i.e
"How do you get that lonely, how do you hurt that bad
To make you make the call, that havin' no life at all
Is better than the life that you had
How do you feel so empty, you want to let it all go
How do you get that lonely... and nobody knows "
Maybe its just me hearing what i want to hear but i find these words amazing.

Hugs to you all xx
Chance

I was listening to that song when it first came out and I had had a really bad night. Part of me liked it for the fact I didnt feel alone in how I was feeling. The other part was sort of and still is a bit resistant to listening to it. Not sure if its because it drew me more into those feelings or what. But it is a very touching song.Really hits home. Thanks for posting it

Hugz~

I don't know that "I" got it. I mean, did I do this "lonely" to myself? I'm also alone... perhaps that started it?

Yeah, I know. I was accenting the idea of "how did I GET..." like it's my fault I am? or anyone for that matter.. or does it "just happen" to us?

Are we actively involved in our sadness (like cognitive distortions) or do we have a predisposition for it, or does it happen to everyone and some of us are more sensitive and stumble under the weight?

Music, Movies, Books they all affect are emotions, which I have found out. If you feel down and listen to a song that is kind of sad and you can relate to it. It could make you feel worse. I always listen to one song most of the time. It's by Linkin park - Breaking the habit. I find it a stron powerful song with words that can push me in different directions. I can't seem to listen to happy music anymore because to me seems like lies. I like to listen to the truth in a song even though it hurts. Songs don't trigger me, it's only people who want me to.... Any way I can't live with out music! How do you get that lonely?
