There's some disease raging among my poor lil critters My mice apparently it is this virus Sendai, i read about it and it sounds just right... HIGHLY contagious, HIGH mortality rate My mice

FOUR of my mice has already died, they all got very ill very quickly My mice

Five of the remaining 12 are on quarantine:
-Three are likely infected. I got one of them to start eating again, I'm starting to think she might pull trough. Either that, or she'll die in the next 48 hours.
-One isn't high risk anymore, she's gotten more weight My mice, she's also gotten more tame, actually she is very people friendly now that she can't have mouse pals My mice
-One has no symptoms yet, but there was a infected mouse in the same cage earlier, and this one is at the highest risk age...

Five of all the mice seem to be immune, or at least they have no symptoms eventhough they have all been at risk earlier. The last two i'm not sure of...

I'm watching all of the ones that seem healthy like a hawk, and i try to avoid any contact with them.

I'm so tired... My mice

Is it as bad as the hanta virus? Like, for humans, too?

Neri,

I hope your little children are doing better...I know how hard it is to take care of so many animals & staying up to monitor their condition. It takes a tole on us too with the worring stress & trying to do the right thing to take care of them. It is good there is information on the virus so you know more about what is going on with them....not the unknown but still hard to provide the needed care.

Take care of yourself too so you can continue their care. It is so wonderful that you care so much about these little creatures. So much love you have to provide...they are lucky to have someone like you that cares about them....I would be the same way....every little creature deserves to have that kind of care because the life of each one is important to recieve the best care possible.

How wonderful you are.

Debbie

I kind of understand you that this can also effect the way you are feeling as well as your mice feeling poorly.

How are your mice doing? How are you? You are such a good parent to your pets. I admire you very much for it.

Please let us know.

Hugs,

Jan
