My job is in jeopardy now. They have learned that I am homeless. A reply to an email I received had the subject altered slightly, with the addition of "PERSONNEL ISSUES" to the heading. It also said something about "...while I am still working at this job..." We had a discussion today and basically I think that I have pretty much gotten the equivalent of a warning.

Well sheesh ! If you are performing your job properly, not missing work, etc, what difference should it make to your employers that you are homeless, and how the heck do they think you can become "un-homeless" without a job???? I would do some serious checking into whether they can actually let you go for that reason! I would certainly think that they cannot !

Good luck to you, and work hard, and make sure they have no reason to let you go on the basis of your job performance.

((((INKY))))) isn't there anyplace you can use as an address??? I know you can't live in a Post Office Box... but there has to be some way to find one... criminals do it... foreigners do it... you gotta run with a worse crowd I guess to find out how to do this! UNFAIR UNFAIR!

If you can, contact local free legal help and see what grounds they have to do this... it may be they are using any excuse here, and the basis might be your emotional difficulties? Hang in there. TC

Inky,

That just doesn't seem legal at all. I hope you can find some free legal help to coach you through this so they can't pull something on you that isn't legal. I'm not sure exactly where you could turn but I'm sure with the help of the internet, you can get pointed in a direction to get help. Like parker said...how in the world to you become un-homeless without a job. If you haven't given them any grounds to fire you for non-performance, I wouldn't think they would have any grounds to stand on.

Hope things work out for you & I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction for help.

Debbie
