My ps3 broke on the first day of vacation I always used to, since i come home from school till i fell asleep, and on the week ends/vacations id play till 5 am and now that it broke i feel empty. All my enjoyment was on there, with the friends i had on there, it made me feel good.

Now im less animated in doing things like matching movies or w.e. I just get so depressed.

I cant afford to get it fixed or to get a new one.
Trying to find a way to make money, idk how though.
Thanks for this!

Good luck with finding a replacement, whether a ps3 or something else you have not done in awhile.
Thanks for this!

Maybe you could find something else you like to do that doesn't involve electronics? Do you have any family or friends you could spend time with?

I agree with Holmes!!

I don't know you that well, but it sounds like you were very dependent on your PS3...almost to an addiction level, maybe?

It sounds like you're going through withdrawals and that your PS3 was your coping skill. It is difficult for you, but you can have too much of a good thing. If it takes up all your time and numbs you out and provides an outlet that allows you to not deal with your pain in your life...it's not necessarily a good thing.

Take this time to find other healthy ways to spend your time. Read a book, take a walk, see if you can meet up with (safe) family or friends and have actual interaction. Experiment with new things like art, or sports. Talk to (safe) people. Go outside and breathe in fresh air. Reach out for help!!

It's not healthy to spend all your time so absorbed in video games. Too much skews reality and fries your brain. Seriously...hang in there and keep posting.

We'll help you through.

You might not die from it, but couldn't there be more to life? I'm not trying to preach to you, I promise.

I think that your graphic art is incredible. You are very talented. Paintball is good too. It gets you out and involved with other people. Would there be an opportunity for you to get into a group or form one of your own? Possibly do a game a week?

What else are you in to? Do you like cars, motorcycles, airplanes? Have you ever built model airplanes or cars? What about trying out a new sport?

I hate to break it to you, but you can die from to much PS3. I'll give you an example....

Boy spends most of day inside, sitting on his backside and starring at his video games all day. He gets lost in them to the point that the majority of his day is gone. These games monopolize his life and he rarely gets out to do anything else. This goes on for a few months and this leads into a year, and a year leads to two, then three. His life is passing him by. Since he is not getting enough physical activity, he begins to develop plaque in his coronary arteries and the main arteries that supply blood and oxygen to his brain. He doesn't realize this, after all...you can't see it or feel it. His blood vessels are also becoming weakened due to lack of activity and a vitamin D deficiency from lack of sunlight, so his blood vessels begin to fail him and his blood begins to pool in his lower extremities. This puts a lot of pressure on his heart which causes his heart muscle to enlarge and not be able to pump efficiently. Again...what is the harm...you can't see it or feel it. Since his blood is pooling in his lower extremities, it starts to clot in the larger veins in his lower legs. He wonders why his feet are beginning to ache. One day, after spending way to many months/years playing video games, he realizes that he needs to mow his lawn, or his car breaks down and he has to walk to the gas station. He exerts himself to what would be considered a normal level of activity for his age group yet because he has clots in his legs, as his blood pressure rises due to the activity, a blood clot breaks free and travels up the veins in his leg and gets lodged in his lung. He gets sharp horrible chest pain and can't breath. His heart begins to beat faster, but due to the plaque and build up in his coronary arteries, the workload of the heart becomes too much and his heart muscle begins to die. He is now experience a heart attack. On top of this, his arteries going to his head are occluded so he is not getting enough blood/oxygen to his brain and he begins to black out. All of the sudden, a piece of plaque from his artery breaks free and travels into his brain. Congratulations...you've now had a stroke. You begin to fall but you are dead before you hit the ground. GAME OVER!!

I know this sounds pretty extreme, but it only takes ONE of these things to kill you and lack of physical activity is the prime suspect for all three of them.

Think this never happens? Four months ago I saw a 26 year old man die from heart disease. He weighed 300lbs, and he was playing his video games in the hospital until he died.

Still think it will never happen? That's what the guys who came out with ATARI said about the PS3.

Take care

Perhaps you could buy a used PS3 on ebay. Just be sure to read the ad carefully to be sure it is in working condition. I bought my son a used Gameboy w/ games on ebay.

What kind of games did you play on your PS3? There are lots of free games online you could play if you know where to look.

Or, if you are trying to get away from gaming, you could try joining a local club to meet some people with similar interests. You could even organize your own club and host it at your local rec centre.

Well I goto the gym every other day when school is in session, the only reason I'd play all day is if im vacation which i am now for only 1 week. Not sure if that enough activity, but its something. Ive heard of people like that and it is scary, but i dont think its possible for me to turn out like that because i eat very little food and I walk 6 miles to and from school each day.

I did football last year, but i ended up leaving it because no one on the team liked me. So now i just go paintballing whenever i can save enough money to go.
