this stuff usually happens when DocJohn is on... but maybe he's in the backround tweeking?

I've been having different problems of late, thinking it was my switch back to firefox, and planning to go back to IE... but maybe it's the site?

I see what you mean now! I see it mostly in the quotes. The quote window doesn't show the last few letters on the right hand side, right?

You're right. Doc John is probably tweaking something! LOL

Pull the directory in the general forum... is it on the left rather than stretched across the screen?

IE and everything is slow and the forum main pages are scrunched to left side of the screen. One of my posts seemed to freeze up with I hit Submit, and then it duplicated it...Sky was there to see that one.

Ok. well rest assured DocJohn will let us know sooner or later (at least by Sunday afternoon?) what's happening. Not sure if our learning that would be of any consolation in the future though. whoa!

IE is nasty at 'caching' pages, and especially with forums, with so many threads and messages, sometimes if your pages are 'hanging' on submissions, or waiting to cycle to another section within say, this forum, but yet your IE pages viewing other web pages seems fine, it's best to go to your IE Tools, Internet Options, and delete the cookies and files caches. This sometimes helps.

Also, not having numerous toolbars installed is a help. With the upgrade to the higher service packs, this has been a conflict with all the 'pop up stoppers' and the cycling of pages and the pages loading to your computer for quicker refresh rates. Also changing your IE settings to get new data for every page visit slows it down too.

Just trying to offer some pc care to those that are suffering with the lags and hangs. (Mine does it off and on too... So before I hit the 'continue' button when posting, I copy what I have written as a 'just-in-case'... LOL.)

Highlight the Address for the Main index to the forum here... when the URL is highlighted, click-drag it to your 'links' bar... there... permanently in your faves, and to get to it fast, just click on it from your links bar whoa!

I was able to do that when using IE but this firefox won't let me put the link on any existing task bar etc... gives me the ol' universal DON'T symbol.

Well, there must be something else happening to me here, all my forums went to dating the threads from "all dates" instead of just the last "2 days" as usual. Now to resetting them again. lol Like I have something better to do with my time??
