Was out last night with some friends, watching the Olympic coverage. Nothing special, just chatting about stuff, laying down predictions for tonight's hockey game.

Then my really close friend turns to me and says, "you're doing so much better."

I shrug and told her I don't know. And then I realized, I do know.

I am doing better. I feel healthier, I've been making smarter decisions, I've been trying really hard. There's still lots of stuff I think I can't do and lots I am insecure about. I still have really bad days and I fall. But I get up now. I forget that a lot. I am doing better even if I don't always recognize that. I should be proud of myself. I just need to remind myself how far I've come. And I have come a far way. I have a faw way to go but progress is progress. I'm making progress. Concrete progress.

It felt really good to actually realize that. Not just be told that, but do genuinely stop for a moment and realize it.

(((((fenrir))))),

What a wonderful friend you have to tell you that they have seen such improvement.....such a good thing that you are able to recognize it also.....that shows true progress.

Keep up the good work.

Good for you Fenrir, for acknowledging all of the work you've been doing and giving yourself the credit you deserve. For allowing yourself the acceptance and patience to know that stumbling doesn't mean you aren't still doing a **** good job!! You're obviously committed to your own growth which means you know how deserving you are of that self love and faith. Even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard.

Fenrir-

I am soooo happy for you!! It is a difficult illness, mental illness, but you seem to have the inner tools to grow and move forward, not to mention some true friends!!! What more could one ask for, really?

There are many here that are proud of you....for the progress you have made and that includes me!

You have been through some very difficult times. For a long time you seemed stuck in a place that was like a nightmare for you. And here, today, you are able to post positively....what a blessing!!! You have always deserved to feel better, to work through your issues and to move forward.

Yep, I'm really proud of you Fenrir for taking those first few scary steps towards a better place and to continuing those steps......YAY!!!
