Hello! Allow me to introduce myself My name is Minnie and I am an emigré from Psycho-Babble. Not sure where to introduce myself, so the General forum seemed as good as any.

My diagnoses are Bipolar Type 2 and OCD. Though I used to agonize over whether or not I had the right DXs, I've reached the point where that matters to me less than just finding the lifestyle changes and therapy that work for me. (As of the last 6 months: so far, so good.)

So I'm just wading into PsychCentral to see how it goes.

Minnie

PS: Are there any particular icons you're supposed to use with certain types of posts?

Welcome to psychcentral minnie. If you click on the Post Icon: over on the left side of the reply window, you can choose which icon you wish. .

If it is anything that might be triggering, do use the "trig" icon. Pretty much the rest is a choice. Also, it isn't a requirement that you "reply to" the originator of the thread, as DocJohn has given us the Quick Reply option. (This adds your post as next in line to whomever happened to post before you.)

Again, welcome, I hope you will like it here.

Hi, Minniehaha!! I was reading some of your posts the other day, over on Babble. Welcome to Psych Central..lots of cool people here. Very accepting and supportive and a ton of fun. My Dx is bi-polar and my meds are working really well. Skip around and see what forums you like. Post away! Pat (Fayeroe on Babble)

Welcome to our lovely home away from home as I call it..
I am the dragon of the fourms.. I do not bite or breath fire in any way.. I spread my wings when it rains and when you need a ride to fly high in the clouds to feel safe or just need a dragon hug..

Look around and feel welcome..

Allow me to introduce myself Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I tried to reply privately to every post, so if I missed anyone, please accept my apology. (Still getting familiar with how to use this forum.)

I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Shatze did you find it? Reread my post... when you reply directly to a particular member (from the edit reply tabs up on the right side,) then the "smiley" listing for Subject line icons is above the window. When you reply using the Quick Reply (which is directly below all the posts in the thread,) then it's on the upper left side outside the response window. Find it? It's the red circle with the x through it.

If you wish to know what each smiliey icon means, hover your cursor over it and a word tag will come up.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
