i made this girl up in my head, and now she won't leave me alone. she seems to follow me around, and sometimes i forget about her and other times she's just like sat on my bed or something. does anybody have any idea of what this is a trait of, please?

do you see her? hear her? does she talk to you? when and how did you "make her up"?

i can sort of see her, but i can see right though her, too. she's like, transparent. i suppose i might have heard her, but i can't tell if it's her because i don't know what she sounds like. and i can't remember when, but it all started when i made a character on the sims 2 - and now she feels so real!

Sounds like an imaginary friend. A way of coping for you that provides support and gives you someone to talk to. A creative way to push away boredom.

If you believe you are seeing her, but you know that she is not real, then that tells me that your reality testing is most likely intact and that the vision is a possible hallucination.

I would do some soul searching and ask yourself what sort of benefits you get out of this relationship with this made up girl. There's probably a good reason you have created her. But I don't think you're crazy or anything. Just creative.

If you're really concerned I would seek out guidance from your Doctor.

When I made Tasha and Ashby I didn't expect them to come as alive as they have. True, I never see them but they've been around for a few years now without leaving.

I don't make people up but I do have imaginary conversations with people that I already know. It's like I'm imagining a conversation that I think I will have with them, or one that I wish I had with them. Sometimes I talk aloud to them even though they are not there. Sometimes I get so into the conversation that I will actually get very angry and agressive. I wonder if any of you think this is something significant that I should discuss with a T?

I did this same thing when I was 11 because I was feeling lonely. I named her Becky. She's still here, such a big part of me it seems since I talk to her in my head so easily. I always thought I was just talking to myself. I think it's perfectly normal, like Elysium said it's a way to cope

i totally understand what you're saying, i do that too! where you kinda act out scenarios and conversations to yourself? and if it's something you don't like, then by all means talk to your T to get it sorted. i personally don't mind it when i do it, it provides me with brief company haha.

Mine doesn't bother me, but when I was younger I would worry that it was "weird" Glad to know I'm not alone in doing this!

Either two things extrem anxiety disorder or pchzophrenia. I have extreme generalized anxiety disorder and i created a man named Evil Personality (lame name I was 9) anyways I cant see it but I can hear it mostly in my head but sometimes in my ears. If you hear this girl you might be using the left auditorial and language hemisphere of your brain. most people use th eright but when someone has anxiety to the extreme or schzophrenia than you use both sides of the brain making it so that you can see and hear things that other people cant.
