seriously, I feel like my face keeps changing. I sometimes (well, a lot of times) stare at myself... sometimes I feel really pretty, but I look at myself like it was a stranger in the mirror... Other times, I have no particular feeling but I just see a stranger... I feel that it cannot be me, because I feel like I look different.

I am not sure if this makes any sense...

Have you discussed this with your doctor?

It makes total sense to me. It's a symptom of dissociation. It's actually one of the questions asked on the dissociative experiences scale index Dx questionnaire.

I often look in the mirror and feel like I'm not recognizing myself.

It's kind of disconcerting, but I've learned to live with it.

Hi... I am fine. We have spring...

I am not seeing and psychdoc at the moment... I still cannot figure out it's worth it. I don't want to have any medical record, since it seems to create possible complications career-wise and otherwise.

I don't feel I have other symptoms of DID... besides occasional not remembering something, but that usually occurs when I am tired and stressed, at least that's how I explain it.

You can experience dissociation without being DID. Dissociation happens on a spectrum. Have you ever kind of zoned out while driving to a familiar place, got there and not really remembered the drive. That's a mild form of dissociation that lots of people experience.

I'm not DID but have been diagnosed with dissociactive disorder not otherwise specified (DDNOS). It's a milder form and the Dr's way of saying she dissociates but I can't figure out what caused it. I believe it's a symptom of my PTSD.

If it's not interfering with your life beyond being annoying and a little confusing, I wouldn't worry about it.

Sometimes I get distressed looking in the mirror. After some years my face appears older. Then I realized the problem is that the mirror has gotten older.
