On May 15 2002 I was in a severe car accedent and I hit a prize winning Angus bull with my car (it was in the middle of the road). I had my daughter 12 weeks premature and she was 1 pound 10 ounces (she is doing great now). I haven't really done much driving at night since then. Well last Tues. I was driving back to my kids house from another city and I had to go down the same street and an animal came into the headlights and I screamed like I have never done before and scared the s*** out of the kids and my ex and i ended up pulling over to the side of the road and crying uncontrollably and he had to drive. This sucks. I love driving and I wish that I could do more of it.

Oooohhh, Kat, that's horrible! Your reaction was, at least to me, perfectly understandable, and I'm glad you were able to at least pull over safely.

It's hard when you live in areas that have expanses of unlit road - out here, on the outskirts of the city, we get a lot of donkeys, wild horses & mule deer. I can barely stand to be a passenger some times!

I know how your feeling. When I was 13 My sister and I were passengers in her boyfriends car when he rear ended another car and sent the driver of the other car to the hospital for over 6 months. My sister and I escaped with only minor injuries. Thank goodness as we were not wearing a seatbelt at the time. After the accident, I was extremely uneasy about riding in a car at all, even with my family. That incident stuck in my mind and eventually I was able to get over it but I know how your feeling.
