I have been in a bit of a funk for quite some time. My life has been up in the air for what feels like forever. I have faced the possibility of bankruptcy and foreclosure. I feel like I am starting to turn the corner. I have a consulting project that holds potential to serve as the basis for building a business. Instead of filing bankruptcy, we are pursuing debt settlement, and instead of foreclosure we are looking to get a loan modification. So starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Here's the problem. I have become almost obsessed with researching bankruptcy, debt settlement, foreclosure, loan modification, etc. It has helped me become knowledgeable but it has also been a huge distraction and energy and confidence drainer. I want to shift my focus to working on and thinking about building my business. I am doing "good enough" in terms of my work/business effort but now I need to turn it into overdrive but I am finding that I am having a difficult time putting in extra effort lately. When I had my business I was putting in ridiculous hours and made no time for fun. It was incredibly stressful. I am doing a good job of bringing some balance into my life. I'm working out almost every day, get out of the office at a decent hour and do fun things with the wife on the weekends like go to movies and eat brunch. Now I'm feeling like it's time to get really focused. I need to set challenging daily goals. I do this from time to time but need to be more consistent. I need to believe in myself and get back to work. |
