silentandscared is back in hospital again after an
asthma attack at work yesterday evening.

At least not as bad as last time (http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=136222) ... but still alarming.

Thanks for this!

Hi, all!

I've let sas know how much you're thinking of her and wishes her to get well. She's thankful to you all.
Everything is a bit complicated... so I can't tell you much right now. The doctors have had a hard time figuring out what's triggering the asthma. Yesterday a specialist was called in to check the function of sas's vocal cords. Seems like they are sort of falling down blocking her airways as she breathes in and that in its turn triggers the asthma. Last time (in April) they believe it was - the not fully treated pneumonia - that caused the severe asthma attack.

Hi Everyone

Thank you all so much for all your warm wishes during my recent stay in hospital. l was in touch with shadowriter who kept me going with all your kind and caring thoughts.

I came out of hospital last night after another few very frightening days, what they have now discovered is that since my last admission my vocal cords are damaged and are collasping down which in turn is then triggering my asthma. I now have to wait to see a specialist and in the meantime work on some exercises to try to strength my vocal cords.
Keep me all in your thoughts and prayers because right now we are very fed up.

This weekend coming we loose our house but todays good news is that we have just past all the checks and should hopefully move into our new home on June 3rd.

Once again thank you all so much

Sas xx

I'm glad that you are out of the hospital. I hope the specialist has good news. I'm sorry about your house and hope that the time until June 3rd goes quickly. Take care of yourself.
