Two or three weeks ago I started having these miniature, weird hallucinations. None of them last more than two or three seconds. First, I smell something yucky. Not the same every time, but all yucky. That's the strongest part. At the same time, absolutely simultaneously but weaker, a picture of a different landscape (different every time) and a noise. Just a flash of all of those together, for, as I said, no longer than two or three seconds. Brain cancer? Stroke? They just come out of the blue, without any identifiable cause or association. Not only have I never had anything like this before, I've never even heard or read of such a thing. If you have any ideas as to what words I should use for a search, please let me know. Take care!

you are going to need to contact your own treatment people. we are not allowed to diagnose or tell you what your problems are. all we do here is share our own happenings with each other.

I have had experiences with seeing things, smelling things. when I was a kid my treatment people said I was having hallucinations related to my having schizophrenia. when I had these things happen related to abuse my treatment people said I was having flashbacks. during my treatment for DID I was told by my treatment people I was becoming co conscious and integrating alters, becoming one whole person again.

for you it could be almost any mental disorder, problem or even a medical problem but like I already said here we cant diagnose each others so my suggestion is call your own treatment people, schedule appointments with them and they will tell you what this is in you.

Greetings,

A medical professional is something, I feel, should be at the top of your list to visit. I hope you do.

Best of luck to you.

Have a good one.

Hello Ygrec,

I hope you get this sorted. with the above information you can also add the possibility of temporal lobe epilepsy. There are so many things it could be so checking with your doc and asking to see a neurologist to have a scan and EEG is the best idea.

Hi Ygrec22,

If it is any comfort, we are never the only one's who have something. This I learned from watching those medical shows on tv.
Not to make light. These symptoms you describe do sound jarring. I agree that a trip to the doc is in order. There you can have a check-up and an MRI/brain imaging and hopefully get to some answers soon. Many good wishes for finding out what this is.
