i have a son, he 18 now he been bipolar since he been 3 grade. the school mess him up told him he was a senior had his hopes up and then they found out he was mising creditrs. 4 to be excat.

well it making it hard on me, b/c he refusing to go to school now since this isue and since my niece need a home place to come and have her baby he quit his medications..., i been dealing with sussing hit and pushing around not as bad but it getting worst.... am i feel like i want to die my self i tryu to help him. me and his dad seperated but let hi come back in b/c few reasons. on ws b/c of the kids and now i not able to work, the father letting do as he pls he tried at forst but them he either scared of him or dont want to dealth with it.

i am about to have nervousr break downb and he refuse to see his dr and i dont know what i can do to get him help and get him to relise school the best thing. the dad dont care for me, he here for the kids or hoping i die for my policy thu my job.

i only want the what best for my son, i kno here calling the police it not going to help him. is there anything i cazn do.???

i know it too late to go for guardian, i only want him back on meds to be happy then what he now.. i live in ohio anyone has a child like me and been thru this. i dont want to die b.c he might one day hurt me by accident.

he use to trust me and come to me for things but, it him and his dad b/c his dad gives him money and biplsr are obsessives over money... thanks, i am so sorry if i posted in the wrong place.

i dont want to go thru the cops i have done that 3 times they said next time he just go to jail and dont care if he bipolar., that why i dont go thru them....

(((((((((Angelina))))))))Is there any chance you can talk to his doctor? Also, does the school have any type of plan on how your son can make upthe credits? What are the credits in? If your son is manic he is not going to be thinking straight about you or his dad or school. You might have to discuss the possibility of having him hospitalized for his own safety or yours if this gets any worse, hon. I'm biplar, too, and there are times I wish someone had done that with me, though I would have hated them at the time. Get in touch with the doctor. Please make sure you and your niece and the baby are safe and let us know what happens.

In my state, the State's Attorney handles civil commitment matters. Look in the county government section of the phone book for the number.

Unfortunately, your son is mentally ill and a danger to himself or others. He needs help, even if he does not want it.

I feel, this is something that you should consult his treating physician/s on. Does he, by chance, have a social worker, as well? For such a professional would also be quite helpful.

Yes, try home-schooling thru the internet. If he refuses to try, get on there with him and get his mind off himself. Offer to help him with his meds. He is obviously so depressed that it just seems like another chore to open his mouth and put them in. The last resort is to admit him to a hospital. At least there, they can keep an eye on him so he does not hurt himself or anyone else and who know, it might be on the wrong meds and that a change would work wonders. I appear to be so optimistic, but now for myself.
