I am looking to relocate to Seattle for a new job soon. I will need to find a new p-doc and talk doc. If there is anyone from Seattle out there can you give me some references for a new p-doc and talk doc?

Thanks

Greetings,

Have you tried using the internet's many search engines?

Have a good one.

Thanks Princess...yes, I have...but I was hoping to hear some names of doctors with whom people here may have had success. It's easy finding names...it's not easy finding references to good doctors.

Well, I'm not from the area but I do know of a really good therapist in Portland-- maybe he could steer you to some good ones in Seattle.........

He works with people that have experienced childhood trauma mostly. It seems that good therapists often give referrals to other good therapists.

If you're interested I could PM you his site.
Just let me know.

Good luck with your search
and your re-locating

Seems like Seattle is full of bipolars....
Unfortunately all I know about are the providers that specialize in women with bipolar. Maybe that's because I am a woman with bipolar.

Seattle will do a number on your moods. I recommend getting a full spectrum lamp or bulbs for your light fixtures when you move here.

Good idea on the full spectrum lamp or bulbs. I hadn't thought of that although I was looking at research on light therapy for bipolar. Seems you are already there.

Well, if all goes well I will be Seattle by mid-November. I am hoping to move into Fremont, Ballard, Phinney, Green Lake, Wallingford or north Queen Anne areas.
