My son, the wandering musician, called from Japan last night. He is home sick and bored, but is going to stick out the 2 remaining months of his commitment to himself to stay that long.

He called from a McDonalds restaurant. They have phones there for customers to use that can call free anywhere in the world for 3 minutes. How odd.

He is doing well and making twice as much money as he needs and so able to even save some for his next adventure.

He is amazed and disappointed that he has not found whatever it was he was looking for.

I recall being the driven seeker. I still am, more or less, but somewhere along the way learned what I have to keep reminding myself...

Hi (((Kvin))): I'm glad you heard from your son - I know it is a relief to you, but probably a bit frustrating as well... Travel is usually one of those things that we never regret having done - in my case I have gone a few places which is good since now it's hard to go down the street (lol)... But I agree that what people seem to be looking for, they eventually find in themselves right where they are... As ever, your friend, Peanut

My wandering son called Kvin, I'm so happy for you!

Yep, you'll do well to remember "being driven." You'll do yourself a favor. My wandering son called

I am so glad that he called...you must be relieved.

I think in the years to come he will look back and be proud of himself...what an adventure he had.

KV!
Glad he's okay. You must be really relieved. I'm glad that you are able to understand what he needs to do. I'm sure he appreciates it deep down. I wish my relationship with my dad was as good as yours is with your son.

We are ALL going to be a-ok!
