I just want to say a big "Thank you!!!" to Ozzie for all of her hard work over the past year on the forums as our resident administrator. She's done a fantastic job and I think most people appreciated her sense of fairness and level-headedness that she brought to the job. She will be missed in that role, but I hope she remains comfortable and welcomed as a truly "legendary" member here!!

I have no specifics about the next administrator, as I need some time to consider the options. Rest assured, however, that I and the moderation team are committed to keeping things running smoothly here in the meantime.

It will seem really strange to see your name looking just like the rest of us and not "admin-red" color. You have been awesome, Ozzie, and I have been truly amazed at how much time and dedication you have contributed to the forums. Mega thank you's!

I'll always remember how you encouraged me to get help that day I was so upset. You gave me a smilie face in your e-mail and it made me feel better. Thank-you so much.

Unfortunately it looks like Ozzie decided to not only leave, but delete all of her own posts before leaving and deleting herself too.

I'm very sorry to see her leave this way, I thought she was okay with a decision she made on her own accord. She wasn't forced to resign or anything of the like, she disagreed with an administrative decision and decided she wanted to leave because of her disagreement.

I have emailed her to let her know that although I was disappointed with this action, she's always welcomed back here any time she wants to return.

Let's all wish her the best in her life's journeys!

Thanks for the update, John. I am sure that I wasn't alone at being alarmed when noticing she had deleted herself and her posts. I hope she is ok, and if anyone talks with her outside of PC, please send her my very best regards.

Ozzie and I did not always agree on things as some of you may know but I do wish her well as I have told her in private..
I have seen many posters who did benefit from her help and hope she is repaid for that and all she has done.

Karma and peace to you Ozzie

This makes me so very sad to see her go. She was one of the first people I met here at PC. She made me feel welcomed, and accepted and for that I will always be grateful (sp). I hope she reads this and know how very important she is and what a difference she has made to so many lives here.

Susan,

I imagine that Ozzie is going through a rough time right now, and I am truely sorry she has left. I miss her already.

BUT, she had no right to delete THOUSANDS of posts from this site. I feel like PsychCentral has been vandalized. So many conversations are now stilted. So many great, kind, helpful posts are missing from everyone. We needed them to learn from, to reflect on, and to re-read when we are feeling down.

I feel hurt and sad and yup, ....mad.

PsychCentral will never be the same without those words. Ozzie, please hit the magic UnDo button. :-/

Ozzie if you are reading this if what I am thinking is right " I UNDERSTAND " why you deleted your posts. when I was on another website and I decided it was time to go possibly for good I started deleting my posts and when I left there were more posts so I asked one of the moderators to finish what I had started. The reason I deleted my posts wasn't meant to hurt those still there. It was just a way that I could have closure by not having to wonder what was going on on those threads and posts that I had made. As long as they were still there a part of me was still there so I felt I would have to come back not out of choice but out of an obligation to answer those new posts in reference to what I had posted. My deleting my posts and threads would also give me a fresh start should I decide later to go back to that website. at some point in the future those posts would have possibly awakened issues that have been put to rest for me, the perverbial "jump up and bite me in the ***** " kind of thing. By having deleted them when and if I ever choose to go back there I can start fresh even with a new name if I want not based on the past but based on where I am when and if I rejoin that site. My deleting my posts happened a few years ago. I am not at that same point in my life so I do not regret deleting my posts and threads.

Good Luck out there. and take care.

(((((((OZZIE)))))))

If you do look in I want you to know that I can feel the pressure of the situation, almost as if it was happening to me.

Just wanted you to know that. I'm sure that others here feel the same way.

I would like to hear from you when you feel like talking.

Take care, M

what a shock to find out what has happened....ozzie gone....the site will never be the same....but we must all honor her decision as we know that she is a woman who doesn't make rash decisions easily and so her disagreement with admin must have been very important to her....but like many others i pray that she will at least read the posts here that are supportive of her and will keep in touch with those who care so deeply for her....butterflylady747@yahoo.com.God bless you susan...you are one awesome lady

umm....no we don't. I absolutely honor everyone's right to leave here at any time. But, no, I don't have to honor someone's right to ransack the place on the way out.

Her posts were donations to the COMMUNITY. She took tools away from people who need them.

Obivously she is angry at DocJohn, and she has a right to her anger, and to express her anger....as I do. I simply don't agree with her method of expression. The community suffers because of what she did. Is that really what she intended? I doubt it. I believe she is angry with DocJohn - so kick him, he can take it. Just don't take helpful support and tools away from the entire community.

Ozzie - I hope you know I care about you and wish you happiness. But, we get to disagree. Hugs to you.

I didn't really get much of a chance to get to know Ozzie more. But I did note that she was always supportive. That speaks volumes. So..in a sense.. nothing has been deleted or taken away... as I see it. Those "volumes" are still with everyone she touched.

Good luck Ozzie! God bless and keep you safe always.
