Hey everybody I suffer from severe mood swings and irritable could this be bipolar?I suffer from ocd and adhd and social anxiety panic attacks joint pain .Do any of these causes mood swings and irritable .Iam afraid to talk too doctor afraid he would commit me in the hospital.

Talk if you feel the need. Being committed is only possible if you are a danger to yourself or others. Mood swings and irritability won't get you there, rest assured.

Kikki, it's true that you cannot be committed to a hospital unless you are a danger to yourself (suicidal) or others (violent). You don't sound like you are either of those things. Lots of people are diagnosed and treated in a doctor's office and treated successfully without ever going to the hospital. You'll feel better knowing if you have it or not. Go ahead and make an appointment.

Good luck with the appointment it sounds like you could have a mood disorder, i get mood swings all the time due to my personality disorder and i get irritiable as well. i also have a mood disorder so i know how your feeling.

Hi yall my psych doctors appointment is the next day So I will let them know about the mood swings and irritable so wish me good luck

It when good thank you they said it is a mood disorder like bipolar he put me on gabapentin 300 and xanax and luvox and took me off of ritalin.

I would talk to your doctor. He cannot commit you unless you are a danger to yourself or someone else or show signs of lack in self care.
