"In a new study, researchers exposed the unusual woman -- well known to science as SM -- to as many scary situations they could come up with. From an infamously fright-filled haunted house to the spider section of a pet store, SM, who completely lacks a brain structure called the amygdala, failed to show any signs of being afraid."

Oh, to be a brain scientist in the mid-21st Century! They're going to learn so much that it will totally change our lives, and not just those with mental aberrations or diseases! Take care.

Ygrec, do you think they could help politicians?

This is an interesting story. I don't think however that dulling or removing part of the brain will have long term positive affects...though I doubt anyone can help politicians...

Well, Pach, the brain scientists do say that morality is an inborn instinct in our human brains. Like the lady without the amygdala, though, it would appear that politicians may not have been gifted with the morality organ. I've heard of brain surgeons putting things into brains, or taking out of brains foreign items like tumors, but I've never heard of a morality transplant into the brain of a psychopath or a politician, which terms are possibly interchangeable. Take care!

Oh, the lady without amygdala, didn't she marry Darth Vader?
Thanks for this!
