unless we get intoxicated together, I don't like to talk to ppl when I'm intoxicated- I'm too proud and don't want to stress my groove.

Would you be kind enough to translate for this old geezer how being intoxicated connects pride with stress on your grove. Sorry, I really have no idea.

Are you perhaps embarrassed that you might act in an uninhibited way and don't want to do so alone?

Sounds like you're missing out on connecting with the people in your world when you're intoxicated. So, you'd rather be alone and intoxicated than connected with friends and family? It's a shame pride is keeping you from the outside world. It's too bad your sense of pride couldn't keep you from becoming intoxicated in the first place.

I'm not trying to be hard on you. Alcohol has played a role in destroying my family, and it has completely destroyed way too many friends in my life. Yeah, I know - you probably don't care.

If your "groove" is all you live for, keep it - and don't call me. It's equally frustrating and stressful for me to talk with someone who is intoxicated.

Good luck and be careful.
