That's OK Greenleaves, and I think making connections here is a good thing.

As much as I think it is important to talk IRL it is also important to find the right people to trust to talk to... so if you haven't found anyone comfortable yet IRL then trust your instinct. But keep yourself open to the possibility.

It might be great to meet some of us online folks IRL. One of the best experiences I ever had was planning for Star Wars Episode I with the charity group to get tickets... there was a planning and news forum and everyone from NY was online getting to know each other while making plans... then on the first day of the actual charity line everyone showed up and was like "Hi, I'm dave.... er... 'dexter' from the message board" and everyone had an instant, close bond even though we had never met before. We had 250 people signed up for the three week event and I think almost the whole group was there that first day, so it was a huge and awesome event.
