Talked to my boss yesterday and she said she can probably get back on the schedule next week. I am very nervous and worried about going back. I think I'm ready, I really need to be doing something. But my meds are not right, I'm not sleeping well and if you read my other post you know about my suicide attempt. Maybe this will be good for me. Who knows?

Maybe you aren't ready to go back to work F/T, sunflowers07.

Can you return P/T for a couple of weeks first? Kind of ease back into the working life. Is that a possibility for you?

I can understand needing to get out of where you're at, but sometimes, that doesn't mean that work is the right place for you to be going. Know what I mean? I do recommend joining a local support group. Meeting with others (at different levels of emotional health) can be very reassuring & give you some hope.

DBT group was very helpful to me, in that I developed healthier ways of seeing and working through my emotional reactions to stressors. It wasn't easy for me to do, and it doesn't really "end". Instead, it's the beginning of looking at life differently. Trying to let go of baggage...not for others, no. We automatically think that we're going to T for others. DBT is for us. The group accepts our past. They feel sympathetic for the pain that we feel. Realistic, "socially acceptable", or not, we still have these feelings. And it is okay! That said, we need to let go of some of these feelings, to allow ourselves to have some pleasure in this world. Everyone on Earth deserves to have some enjoyment in life ~ and that includes us! That perspective was very different for me and empowering.

I can feel the pain, fear and anger in your posts. I probably sound like I'm on a different planet to you, lol. But I do understand how you are feeling. I have been there. It is miserable. You DO deserve better. Best wishes for a good night of sleep.
