I did not mean to kill this thread
No ma'am, I would not want it dead

(Even though all my books are read
and I am resting now upon my bed)

Innocent and pure
I will ever steer you true
Because for the thread killer blue(s)
There is absolutely no cure

Upon this day I testify
I did not make this thread die
What, me, would I ever lie?
No, never, I would not even try

[Best sung in a low mournful voice accompanied by a lone banjo]

I thought you gave this thread up
I personally would never get fed up
cause I will win the killer cup
and then wonder what is up

LOL myself....last post was 11/02 & it is now 11/09.....this is typical of me....dang.

I am usually reading threads after everyone has finished what they had to say....by the time I usually respond everyone has usually finished what they had to say.....then I pop in with my 2 cents.....usually being the last one to post......guess that is why I too am a thread killer....or maybe it isn't really killing the thread but coming in "too late".....& no one is reading it anymore.
TaDA.....the true thread killer

if I post and it's deleted or the thread is locked, would that make me the thread killer, or the mod that does it?

Oh but you don't know my horses. Ok, my colt probably wouldn't do anything, but my older horse is a True Stallion. And you know what stallions do when their herd is attacked? They protect them Thread Killer
(watch Hidalgo, the scene where he kills the leopard, that's what stallions do. Except mine is more fierce)

I can try getting a picture of my horse trying to murder dogs if you want, he chases them like a maniac Thread Killer And no doubt he weighs just a BIT more than your little poodle!

Did you know...

That if a horse seriously wants to bite you, he'll break bones?

Even if a horse doesn't seriously want to bite, he can break bones......when they mistake fingers for carrots....that is really an OUCH....& a broken finger.

I had a laugh on my trail ride today....the dog that came with us isn't used to horses yet....(only about 1 month at the ranch).......he walked right in front of my horse & almost got kicked...don't know if my horse would have tripped on him or not since this is my 26 year old horse that tripped over a small mound of dirt & took us both down.....(my big accident about 1 1/2 months ago).......the 6 X 2 inch gash in his leg that required stitches & my concussion, sprained neck & shoulder. All because of a stupid mound of dirt.....nothing like making a mountain out of a mole hill. It seems like everytime I go out on a trail ride he gives me something else to deal with. He was feeling so full of himself today after being layed up for so long...at 26 years old, he gave me quite a bucking session to ride through (& I didn't fall off...yaaaahooo)

I also got a broken nose once when I was leaning forward & my horse raised his neck & head real quick.....couldn't stop the bleeding for 45 minutes......later I found it had been broken. Lesson #1: don't lean forward in the saddle.

Ok....since this thread is about not being a thread killer then it isn't off topic to ask Neri about your stallions...including that gorgeous colt Like a Wind. To start with......what breed are they?

I saw those AWSOME photos in your gallery.....Love "Like a Wind". Had the question as to how old? He looked about 3 months old in the June 2004 photo?.....so about 1 1/2 years now? Guess training can start sooner when they are pulling a cart. I can't start dressage training with Izzy until she is about 3 years for under saddle.....then serious training at 5 years. I am so impatient. I am glad she is so gentle at her size.....she learned early that she doesn't get into my space.....felt that was a very necessary thing for her to know since she is going to be about 17 + hands when full grown.

Also.....do they size horses by using the "hand" height in Finland? How big is your colt? My filly at just 1 year is already 14'3 hands high....with mare being 16'3 hands & the stallion 17 hands.

Ok more questions.....how can that cute Sega ever be vicious. With that adorable face.....no way. Can't be vicious in the show ring either....lets see. Takes the judges fingers off when they check the bite? Oh, must be the dual personality like mine had at times. Angles in the show ring & little terrors outside.

Do you do only confirmation with Sege or also obedience? Have you ever tried agility? That is loads of fun.

Geeze, all these questions? keep the thread going for a while also. You know me with animals....just can't stop talking about them.....does that mean an endless thread of me boring people with doggie & horsey talk? sorry
Debbie

I answered to you in the gallery thing but i might as well write here too Thread Killer

So my horses are American standardbreds, Windy is a pure yankee, and Willy is 3/4 american, 1/8 french and 1/8 russian.

We don't measure in hands or feet or any other bodyparts, since we have the metric system Thread Killer Windy is small, only 146cm, and Willy is already bigger than his father. I hope he doesn't get much over 160cm, cuz I like small horses better Thread Killer

In the baby-picture Willy was only 1-month-old, he's born 1st of June, 2004.

Yes, you can start training your horse to pull a cart when he's 1-year-old. Two year olds are racing already. Willy can't get a license though, but it's too complicated to explain why in english Thread Killer Because runners are trained in a very young age, they are also easier to handle and to train "under saddle" when they are older. They've already gotten used to working.

I think all horses should be trained to pull carts, I don't like most riding horses cuz they are more stubborn and get spooked too easily Thread Killer

Cute-Sega can be vicious cuz she's an aussie and all american breeds are insane Thread Killer . She's nice to people (she doesn't like children though, but it doesn't bother me cuz i hate children too Thread Killer ), but she can defend herself quite well from intrusive males or otherwise annoying dogs. She's especially strict about other dogs approaching my car Thread Killer

Sega is a working dog, we train obedience and tracking. I only take her to dog shows cuz her breeder wants me to, and because of reasons that again are too complicated for me to explain in english Thread Killer

I haven't tried agility, because it's very stressful for the dog, and because I haven't had Sega's hips/knees/elbows x-rayed yet. Also, memberships to agility clubs are insanely expensive.

And about the horses biting, I meant that kind of serious bite that breaks you arm, not just your fingers Thread Killer
