OK I didn't find my paperwork on it yet but I did find some web info on that mental health program I've been speaking about in some of the other forums...

It is called WRAP: Wellness Recovery Action Plan

The whole thing has a lot of parts but basically the goal was to put something together in writing... something that you prepare when you are healthy... to help you get through times when you are not feeling well.

It includes a "Wellness Toolbox" that it guides you in creating for yourself with coping skills, names of people you can trust, instructions for those friends in case of emergency... places to help you identify (again in writing) triggers and suggestions for coping with each type of skill... places to analyse and write about your own behaviors that you know might be a sign of slipping into depression or a manic episode, things for you to look out for and things that friends can look out for... all sort of information to help you avoid a serious episode or to cope with a serious episode should one occur.

Note that this isn't a guide with ways to cope, it is a guide to help you to determine the ways of coping that work for you... something that you can keep in writing because when we spiral downhill we often don't remember or think about the ways we can help ourselves.

I remember my paperwork as having something like 5 or 6 parts, and I see downloads on the website for "crisis planning" and "after crisis planning" which are part of the system. A quick glance I see places to list your medications, places to list the people who you want to help you in the event of a crisis, and a list of people that you DON'T want to help you in the event of a crisis (people who maybe are triggers or are unsupportive, etc.)

It gives a very complete way of thinking of these things and exploring things BEFORE a crisis occurs. When I have more time I'll see if I can find the rest of the plan located on the website.
