I have had a really bad bad week. Everyone is getting down on me. Telling me how crazy, irresponsible and how I didn't work hard enough on my marriage. I feel like such a failure. I feel so stupid and hate myself.

Hi nightowl2. You're not stupid and not a failure. I hate it when our depression tells us those things and I hate it even more when mean people say those things to us. It's not true. We're all allowed to have bad days sometimes, imo.

(((( night)))) we all fail at things... we all have naysayers standing by... maybe by putting the blame all on you, they are taking the spotlight off of themselves and what THEY could have done (more) to help??? I'm sorry your week is the pits for you... maybe next week will be better?

I am sorry you had a bad week......what is sounds like is that someone is trying to take the light off of themselves & trying to point fingers at you.

On the marriage issue.....it takes both to work hard enough or it won't work....& even then, sometimes it just isn't ment to be.....I am going through that right now too. Mutually after 30 years, we have decided that it isn't worth trying any more. We did counceling for years with no help. Don't take the blame.....it takes both to make it work.

Don't hate yourself......that is very wrong when people push you to that point by ragging on you. Hopefully the events of this week will pass & if you can come back to the realization that you are a valuable person & not the bad person people are trying to make you think you are.

Maybe it might help if you sit down & write all the positive attributes you have....with supporting items......you will find out that the garbage that is being put on you is just that "garbage".

Try to get those positive thoughts in your mind & chase out all the crap that has been put in there this week.

You don't deserve to be treated this way.
