Would anyone else be interested in having a forum for those of us who grew up with controlling parents?

Let me know.

Thanks, Jane - Oz

Something like this could go under the relationships forum. Heh, although, I bet atleast 1/2 of us have had controlling parents and enough comments on them to take up a whole board itself!

I only had one, really. He controlled the whole family, until I realized some of his weaknesses and did some controlling of my own. *insert evil grin*

That sounds like a great idea. I, myself, have had ideas for another forum but haven't had the guts to say anything about it. A GLBT forum would be nice for me...and probably others too...but may not be allowed...just a thought for another forum, I guess.

Hmmm...if only...yeah, a poll would be a positive thing too. Good luck in your efforts.

control is also a way for abuse... You might try positing a thread in that section.

GLBT stands for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered. Just a thought there.

Great idea but just some info Im on a few other websites and a couple of them tried the GLBT forums on their websites and it turned out to be a disaster in both situations one because the website was mental health problem oriented and being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered (sex changing from male to female and/or female to male) is not a mental disorder and also because there were people who were against those types of lifestyles on the forums naturally so it ended up in racial type wars on the boards. so they ended up closing down the GLBT message board and in the resource area listing links for places like Alt.com and other sexually oriented websites where GLBT's can meet others like themselves and talk about what they go through and so on.
